Physical Education and Physical Activity
ideas for children when at home

Dear Hollie Perry,

We are all facing changes and challenges over the coming weeks. Our ethos at Complete P.E. is to ensure a ‘complete’ service at all times.

In preparation for the lengthy school closures we are focusing on the importance of keeping our children active, fit, and healthy at home.

For Complete P.E. member schools, you are now able to access our new home learning tab with downloadable videos and resources that can be shared with parents.

The following videos and resources are available in the 'Home Learning' tab.

  • Videos: There are 4 fitness videos that focus on active workouts keeping children moving, which ultimately keeps them fit and health. The videos can be downloaded and shared with staff and parents. The videos can also be viewed on our Youtube channel by clicking here. Please share the link with staff, parents and the wider community.

  • Physical Activity Challenges: We know that most children love competition. There are Physical Activity challenges on the home learning tab. Each challenge can be downloaded and viewed, again these resources can be downloaded and shared. Children can take part in these '60 second challenges' where children can compete against themselves to achieve their personal best. During the school closure we will be posting these challenges on our twitter page which can be viewed by clicking here.  We will be running competitions where we will be encouraging children to uploaded their videos of them performing the challenges for a chance to be recognised as a 'national champion.'

  • Physical Education Home Learning Tasks: We still would like your children to learn during the school closures. We have created some PE home learning activity cards to help children continue to be physical whilst then still thinking and reflecting on their cognitive, social and emotional learning. The PE based activities are designed to work with a sibling or parent/carer but can work with each individual child too.

We encourage teachers to share the resources and links with parents and colleagues.

During these challenging times we encourage everyone to all work together to ensure that the physical and emotional well being of all our children is at the forefront of our actions.

If you have any ideas you would like to share with us please contact us.

Kind regards,

Joe
